2018 updateBoys rugby practices are starting on Monday Jan 29th. Of course, any athletes still in a winter school sport (basketball, lacrosse, etc.) must make that a priority!
We will see how many boys are on the field next week and if we can support two teams this year, but looks like we have a great coaching team in place: Overall Program Coordination: Mr. Sutcliffe equipment, field lines, schedule, referees, communication, jerseys, etc. Senior Boys Head Coach: Rob Leetch Rob is currently the coach for the Chilliwack Men's Team and has coached our grade 10 team for the past 2 years. Senior Boys Sponsor Teacher: Mr. Kuhn Bryan has sponsored the junior team for the past 2 years and worked with Rob. Junior Boys Head Coach and Sponsor Teacher (if numbers permit): Mr. Sutcliffe At this point, the following people have volunteered to come help when they can, and there may be a few others as well: Assistant Coach: Patrick Gallagher Patrick has coached at Slesse Middle for years, and also helped with our junior program the past 2 seasons. Assistant Coach: Cam Nay Cam is an RCMP officer new to Chilliwack but with lots of rugby experience and has offered to help coach around his shift schedule.
